Recent Developments in Frequent Itemset Mining: A Survey

Abstract

Frequent Pattern Mining is an essential part of Association Rule Miningprocess and have been used in di?erent applications. Apriori and FP-Growth arethe two major algorithms in Frequent Pattern Mining. FP-tree is an e?cient treestructure introduced with FP-Growth algorithm by Agarwal et al. FP-Growthoutperformed all earlier frequent itemset mining methods. This paper introducesFP-Growth, concept of FP-Tree and recent improvements on FP-tree.
