Abstract

This article proposes a model to determine the current maturity of test automation as an area of research and development in the software industry. The process and the results of a research that aims to determine the maturity level of automation is described. A systematic review of the literature in which 978 papers were found where are described the models of maturity of software testing and/or analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of automation was performed. After a process of analysis and apply the inclusion/exclusion criteria and quality assessment 26 papers were extracted. The final conclusion is that the current maturity level of automation of software testing is teenager.
